ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Do You Need a Root Canal?
While only a skilled dentist can tell if you need root canal therapy, you may need one to save your tooth if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
•You notice severe tooth pain when you chew or put pressure on your tooth.
•Your tooth looks discolored or dark and is also painful.
•Your painful tooth’s surrounding gums are swollen and tender.
•A tiny bump has formed on your gums near where your tooth is hurting.
•You feel tooth pain when it is exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures, and that pain lingers after being exposed to these elements.

DENTAL SURGERY
UNFORTUNATELY, EXTRACTIONS ARE NECESSARY IF A TOOTH IS NON-RESTORABLE. DENTAL EXTRACTIONS ARE A LAST OPTION. HOWEVER, WE MAKE SURE OUR PATIENTS ARE COMFORTABLE AND HAVE A PAINLESS EXPERIENCE.
CROWN AND BRIDGE
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CROWN AND BRIDGE?
ESSENTIALLY, A CROWN IS A CAP USED TO RESTORE A TOOTH TO ITS ORIGINAL APPEARANCE AND PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE OR DECAY. A BRIDGE, UNLIKE A CROWN, UTILIZES EXISTING TEETH TO FILL IN AN AREA LEFT VACANT BY A MISSING TOOTH.

DENTURES
DENTURES ARE SOMETIMES NECESSARY TO REPLACE FAILING AND MISSING TEETH. NOLA DENTAL CLINIC OFFERS PARTIAL AND FULL DENTURES THAT ARE COSMETICALLY APPEALING, DURABLE AND AFFORDABLE.

Brushing and flossing your teeth is an important part of your dental care routine. For a healthy mouth and smile the ADA recommends you:
-
Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing you to reach all areas easily.
-
Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth.
-
Make sure to use an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste.
-
Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.
-
Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.
-
Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
-
To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.
Of course, brushing your teeth is only a part of a complete dental care routine. You should also make sure to:
-
Clean between teeth daily once a day. Tooth decay-causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.
-
Eat a balanced diet that limits sugary beverages and snacks.
-
See your dentist regularly for prevention and treatment of oral disease.
